Introducing the Board of Directors for the Caribbean Aquaculture Hub
In March along with three of the original founders of Women In Caribbean Aquaculture (WiCA)- Dr. Stacey Williams and Dr. Carla Phillips Savage, the Caribbean Aquaculture Education and Innovation Hub was registered as a nonprofit charity organization to build on our mission to increase the awareness for the need of aquaculture in the Caribbean to be practiced as a Science and included into the STEM curriculum.
CAEIH is the first organization in the region solely dedicated to advancing the growth of aquaculture. CAEIH stands apart not only as a trailblazer in fostering sustainable aquaculture but also as an organization proudly founded by women scientists—visionaries committed to addressing the needs of women and youth in Aquaculture, food security, supporting local economies, and driving innovation across the Caribbean.
Now, I am thrilled to announce the new Board of Directors for the Caribbean Aquaculture Education and Innovation Hub.
This exceptional Board brings together leaders with expertise in marine biology, aquaculture technology, policy advocacy, and sustainable development. Together, they will guide the Hub’s mission to connect aquaculture stakeholders, empower communities, and ensure that aquaculture becomes a cornerstone of the region's blue economy. From supporting farmers to driving research, we are united by our shared vision for a thriving Caribbean aquaculture sector.
Together, we are shaping the future of blue economy growth, food security, and environmental resilience in the Caribbean.
